Not too far from a little house on the beach grows a field of poppies, and nestled in that field is a Grecian-style shrine. It's small and simple, one room with an altar for offerings in the middle. In the back is a fountain styled like a river, flowing with the waters of the Lethe.

Q. So what is this?
A. A proper godly shrine for your local sleep god, Hypnos! If you leave an offering, you may take one of the poppies that grow outside the shrine. Keep it by your bedside and you will have his blessing for an easy sleep with sweet dreams~

Q. How long does the poppy blessing last? What if my character is really good at keeping flowers alive?
A. The blessing generally lasts two weeks, up to a month if you're really good at flower care, but even if you properly transplant the poppy into a pot to keep it alive, it will lose its connection to Hypnos after a month. It will then just be a normal poppy.

Q. What counts as an offering?
A. Hypnos isn't picky, just about anything nice will do! Some food, a cute skirt, a cool rock you picked up on the way over... it's more about the intent than the gift itself.

Q. What if my character doesn't want to give an offering/is a rude thief and decides to steal from the shrine?
A. Clearly they haven't been paying attention to any of the various mythos about what a bad idea it is to steal from gods! They will be cursed with insomnia and horrible nightmares until they either return what they stole or two weeks have passed.

Q. Is it okay to handwave all this?
A. Absolutely! The whole point of the shrine is Hypnos doesn't have to pay active attention to it. He'll know when an offering arrives, and he'll know if anyone takes from the shrine without leaving an offering behind. They don't have to wait for him to be there or anything.

Q. Do sexual favors count as an offering?
A. Abso-fucking-lutely. They gotta take place on the altar though. ;3

Q. What's with the fountain?
A. Oh you know, just a little bit of the River Lethe.

Q. Can my character drink from it?
A. I advise that they Do Not. Unless you want fun amnesia shenanigans. Drinking from the Lethe causes you to lose all memories. Of course you're welcome to play with this as only affecting certain memories, and given that this is RP, this effect will not be permanent.
